Winter is here and market still appears strong.
If you listen to the National news about the housing market, you will probably get depressed just listening. Locally, things are still moving along at a nice pace. Here is an example from just one local school district.
West York Area School district had 161 home sales in the last 6 months. 8/25/06 - 2/25/07 This is only counting homes that were in our local MLS. Anything that was sold by owner is not part of these numbers.
Avg. list price was $171,212
Avg. sold price was $169,044, that is 98.73% of list price, NOT BAD!
Median List price was $149,900
Median Sold price was $142,000
That is an average of 26.8 home sales a month. Almost one a day. If you want to know what is going on locally, just call and ask.
