New Fuel Standards by 2020?
2020? What is taking so long? Can you imagine if the auto industry would advance at the same rate as electronics? We would be flying space ships!!
My first computer was called a Commodore 64. I think I got it back in 1985! OK, that was only 22 years ago. 64 was for 64K memory, I think. Nobody really cared! It's not like you had many other options. Now my Blackberry is more of a computer than that was!
Now look at cars from 22 years ago. A lot of them are on the road! Compare them to autos of today. Sure they have improved but come on. My first car was a 1979 Honda Accord. I bet it got pretty good gas mileage. I don't know because gas was less than a buck then, I think.
Anyway, let's get serious! How many cars that don't get good gas mileage will be on the road by then? A lot! What about all these big SUV's we are always hearing about?
