Is the foreclosure activity really that bad in PA?
We hear in the news about the rise in foreclosures. The media is doing what they do best, focusing on the negative! I read some interesting news recently thanks to RealtyTrac.com that helps shed some light on our state as well as all the others.
As far as Pennsylvania goes our foreclosures are down 55.07% since Jan. of 2007 and 24.83% since Dec. of 2007. Actually PA is ranked 37 for properties with foreclosure filings.
If you are wondering who is #1, that honor goes to Nevada whose foreclosures are up 95.41% since Jan. of '07. But even for them things are looking up. They are down 44.56% since Dec. of 2007.
