Do You Know Any Veterans?
Something that is really on my heart lately is the need to talk about our war veterans. Yes, you might be against the war, and that doesn't matter. What matters is they need our support while away but as importantly when they come home, if they are fortunate enough to do so.
I don't think a lot of people understand what these men and women (usually young), have many issues they need to deal with (ones we have NO idea about) even if they come home unharmed physically. And to make matters worse, they come home and see the kinds of things we are complaining about (Ex. spilled drinks, having a cold, car accident, lack of sleep, rainy days, icy roads, etc....) and probably feel like laughing at us. I don't blame them, visit my "support our troops page" and see some more of what I have to say.
So next time you come across a veteran, young or old, thank them for their service and keep in mind what they may be going through. Also, next time you are whining and complaining about something that really doesn't matter, just be grateful for where you live and what you have, etc...
