Are You A FSBO, FOR SALE BY OWNER??
I admire the people who try to sell their homes themselves. It is not always an easy thing to do!
A few years ago, it was very easy. You put the sign in the yard and then, LOOK OUT! It was crazy!
Now, not so much. What I have found from talking with buyers and sellers, when it comes to FSBO's is this...
1. A lot of the people looking at the homes that are FSBO usually are not in a great position to buy. They like the fact that they can go see a home without an agent asking if they are pre approved, etc... Some already know they will have trouble getting a mortgage but want to try anyway. Maube they will run into a seller who can "help them out".
2. Some buyers do not like to look at those homes because they feel they will insult the sellers "directly" if they do not like their house. Also, they think they will keep calling them to see what they thought or if they changed their mind, etc...
3. Sellers have told me, they got tired of taking calls, scheduling showings, figuring out where to advertise, etc...
Anyway, if you are one of those ones trying, good luck. If you are trying and are getting tired of it, give a pro a call. We do it all the time, it is not as personal or emotional for us.
